How do I identify a font from an image?
Upload a PNG, JPG or WEBP image, drag the crop frame around one clear word or line, then select Find Selected Font. NexFonts compares the cropped text with a visual font catalogue and returns the closest matches.
What kind of image gives the best font match?
Use a sharp image with high contrast between the letters and background. A straight word containing at least four different characters usually works better than curved, overlapping or heavily distorted text.
Will the image font finder always identify the exact font?
No visual font detector can guarantee an exact result for every image. Low resolution, custom lettering, effects and modified logo text can change the match, so verify the result with the official font source.
Can I search for free fonts only?
Yes. Enable Free Fonts Only before starting the search to limit results to fonts marked as free by the recognition provider. Always confirm the licence on the official source before commercial use.
What happens when the detected font is not on NexFonts?
NexFonts shows the detected font name and provides a Google search link so you can look for the official foundry or authorised source. When a close match exists in the NexFonts library, you can open its font page directly.
